Footer Text: Lorem ipsum dolor Made with Xara Friday Painters 2010 The Friday Painters’ website and gallery The group was formed in 2004 by Bill Cruickshank - a skilled artist and Parkinson’s Disease sufferer - following a series of therapeutic art sessions organised by the Shrewsbury Branch of the Parkinson’s Disease Society. After the sessions several people wished to continue meeting and painting, so Bill organised grants and a venue so that these People with Parkinson’s could continue and benefit from Bill’s expert, though informal guidance. We meet in the Village Hall, Hadnall on Friday mornings between 10 am and 12 Noon. Several of the original members still attend with their partners/carers and they are joined by other members of the village community. Often we simply meet, chat, paint and support each others efforts, though we sometimes invite visiting artists to demonstrate techniques and give us fresh ideas. Sadly, Bill died in 2009, but the group is still going strong thanks to his enthusiasm and expertise which has been an inspiration to us all. Bill Cruickshank 1920 - 2009
